The Bayou District offers upgraded one- and two-bedroom apartment homes in Gulfport. Homes feature bright, open interiors with refinished cabinetry and countertops, plank flooring available in select homes, and private patios or balconies.

Public transportation is available throughout Gulfport through Coast Transit Authority (CTA). CTA's Route 34 operates along Pass Road and connects Gulfport and Biloxi, with service to destinations such as Edgewater Mall and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

Bayou Bernard Park and James Hill Park are located along Switzer Road near the community and offer boardwalk trails. Nearby, Brickyard Bayou Park offers a two-mile bike trail and an educational nature trail.
